I studied this sunset as it progressed for a very long time. The scene is looking from Myrtle Island in the town of Bluffton (just west of Hilton Head) to the May River that flows into the tidal waters west of Hilton Head Island.
Stanton Allaben resides in Cashiers, North Carolina having recently moved from Hilton Head Island, SC. He works in both watercolor and oil, his subject matter ranging from landscapes, seascapes, figurative, and wildlife.
